Tootbus route and stops

Tootbus runs a circular route with 10 stops through the center of Paris. The buses are 100 percent electric and offer an audio guide in 10 languages. in 10 languages. The starting point is the stop at the Opéra.

The route is a circular route. You can get on and off at any stop and get off again. Your ticket is valid for the entire period of validity.

Big Bus route and stops

Big Bus runs the Classic Route with 10 stops right across Paris. The red double-decker buses are electric and offer free WLAN on board. Starting point is the Big Bus Info Center near the Opéra.

The complete tour takes about 2 hours 15 minutes. Wheelchairs and baby carriages can be taken on all Big Bus buses.

Timetable and operating times

The operating times and frequencies depend on the season. In summer buses run more frequently and for longer, in winter somewhat less frequently. Here is the current timetable of both providers for 2026.

All times refer to the departure at stop 1 (Opéra / Grands Magasins). Tootbus is not in operation from July 14 to 26, 2026.

Buses run every 10 to 20 minutes, depending on the season and time of day. For a complete tour (approx. 2h 15 min.) you should board at the Louvre Pyramid at around 17:30 at the latest. at the Louvre Pyramid at the latest. The later times at the other stops apply to buses that only run partial routes.

Additional route on the water

Both providers offer a combined ticket that includes a boat trip on the Seine. includes. The trip takes about an hour and takes you past Notre-Dame, the Louvre, the Musée d'Orsay and under the famous bridges of Paris.

With Tootbus, the boat trip is included in the „Must See Paris“ ticket and is operated operated by Vedettes de Paris. The boats leave from the foot of the Eiffel Tower (Port de Suffren) and depart from 10:45 to 18:30, approximately every 45 minutes.

Big Bus offers the boat trip as an upgrade for the „Essential“ and „Explore“ tickets.

Tips for route planning

It pays to start early

The buses are less crowded in the morning and it's easier to find a place on the upper deck. Both providers start at around 9:30 to 9:45 am.

Best entry points

Most visitors start at the Opéra or the Eiffel Tower. If you want less waiting time, get on at one of the less frequented stops, for stops, for example at the Musée d'Orsay or Champ de Mars.
